Recover Lenovo One Key Rescue Restore Feature after Cloning with CloneZilla

Because I am very satisfied with the performance of Seagate Desktop SSHD on my Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 72z, I decide to upgrade Lenovo C440, too. After cloning with Clonezilla,  you need to manually modify the partition type ID to make it work.

What Clonezilla has Done

Clonezilla didn’t duplicate disks exactly the same. I didn’t know this until testing recovery feature in OneKey Recovery. It complains about errors in partition and refused to restore to factory or newly created partition images.

I use diskpart to check partitions. Partition 3 should be OEM type but has changed to Primary after cloning. Maybe that’s why it fails.

Manually Change Partition Type

Launch diskpart as administrator, select the partition with SELECT PARTITION 3 then SET ID BFBFAFE7-A34F-448A-9A5B-6213EB736C22 to correct partition type. Now, you may restore to factory or any backup sets you create with OneKey Recovery.
